Palawan is among the most popular destinations in the country and as it stands, still is. With its pristine beaches, white powdery sand, and just an overall paradise, we’re not surprised that most people are booking their next flights to one of the world’s best islands right about now.

But before you start booking yours, there are a couple of things you should know first.

Quarantine Status

  • El Nido is under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) and is open for tourists.

  • Coron will gradually reopen to tourists starting September 22. The island will accommodate point-to-point bubble guests if coming from outside Palawan and Palawan tourists. Only permitted island resorts and licensed / DOT accredited enterprises are allowed to operate. But it will open to tourists nationwide starting November 15.

  • Puerto Princesa is under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) but not open for tourism.
