Manila is considered as the Capital of the Philippines and as the major center for commerce, transportation, and tourism in the country. The greater Metropolitan Manila area is made up of multiple cities which means when it comes to attractions, Manila is the place to be.
After long months of lockdown, most people who spent their everyday lives working in the bustling concrete jungle, can’t help but miss exploring the metro. We all, surely, long for things to get back to normal so we can experience again eating in the busy streets of Binondo, enjoy nightlife in Makati, or even just spending our extra time walking around Luneta Park.
As we ease into the idea that traveling, for now, is a bit challenging, let us look back on the things we miss seeing and doing in the Metro.

Museum dates with friends - There are three museums we love to visit, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of Anthropology. You will be amazed at how the historical and cultural artifacts are wonderfully displayed in these museums. What’s more amazing is that admission to these museums is free.

Trip down memory lane at Intramuros - This is one of the must-visit places when you're in Manila. If you want to get a glimpse of the Philippine-Spanish history, visiting Intramuros is a fascinating way to experience the colonial era. We can’t wait to stand in front of the grand, gorgeous buildings of Manila’s walled city and revisit the famous Fort Santiago and Jose Rizal’s prison cell.

Street food tour at Binondo - The oldest “Chinatown” in the world is not just a place rich in history, Binondo is also a foodie haven. We can still recall the comfort of hearty broths with fresh noodles on our stomach. And most importantly we cannot wait to relish into a sinful array of fried food again.
It seems like ages ago since the last time we traveled, we hope we can plan our weekend getaways together, soon, exploring not just Manila but the rest of the country. Let’s travel confidently again in our safe spaces at RedDoorz.
