Due to this pandemic, traveling has been pretty much restricted this year. If you live in Metro Manila, we’re pretty sure that staying in and working from home for more than 6 months now can be quite an ordeal, and taking a vacation somewhere outside the city is but a faraway dream.

For some of us, traveling may still be worrisome even when this whole thing is over, and planning to go somewhere far could give you more anxiety than relaxation. If that is the case, then there are plenty of beaches near Manila that might be perfect for you.

These beaches are near enough from the metro that traveling there would only take a few hours by car. This is perfect for those who will still be wary of using public transportation like airplanes, ships, and even buses.

Masasa Beach (Tingloy, Batangas) – What used to be a hidden gem, this beach in Batangas is now a tourist spot especially for the Manileños who love to go on weekend getaways. There are no resorts here, however. That is why most people either camp out or go back to the mainland after a day trip to spend the night there instead.

Sundowners (Botolan, Zambales) – Getting here might take a couple of hours, but we can guarantee that it will be worth it. An expansion from their original Pangasinan location, this Zambales beach has been a favorite for large groups who are looking for that perfect summer getaway. No matter how many you are, there are plenty of villas you can choose from. Plus, the resort is Instagram worthy!

Unisan Sands (Unisan Quezon) – One of the many Quezon province beaches, this unspoiled paradise is the perfect getaway for those who are seeking some peace and quiet. This means, there is limited online connectivity. But with its long stretch of shoreline and a wonderful view of the sunset, this is a place visitors can enjoy and be off-the-grid even for just a few days.
