For some of us in the country, we’ve been cooped up indoors long enough to do all sorts of things. Especially now that we’ve gone back to staying at home due to the increasing number of Covid-19 patients caused by the Delta variant, it’s safe to say that we’re at a point where we ask ourselves, “What else can we do when staying at home?”. 

So, we’ve gathered a bunch of things that you may or may not have done yet - and hopefully help you find an answer to that question. 

  1. Wake up 30 minutes early to meditate, pray, or reflect.

  2. Try a five-minute meditation on your own or do an Internet search for a guided meditation. 

  3. Start a journal and pick a subject to write about each time you make an entry. For example: Name 10 things for which you are grateful, list short-term goals, write about current challenges in your life, or make a list of everything you’d like to say “no” to.

  4. Try writing a book or poetry. 

  5. Go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual. If you generally cut your sleep short because you have too much to do, this is a great time to be well-rested.

  6. Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while and enjoy catching up.

  9. Try studying a topic you’ve always wanted to study.

  13. Time to build that strength and exercise. 

  14. Pull out a cookbook or go online for a recipe you’ve never made – whether it’s an awesome salad, a delectable new entrée, or scrumptious dessert.

  15. Watch a sunrise or sunset or appreciate something in nature you rarely have time to notice.

  16. Create a playlist of favorite songs from your past and listen to them.

  17. Listen to more music you wouldn’t normally listen to. 

  18. Be your own barista and learn how to make coffee. 

  19. Send an encouraging text message to five co-workers or family members.

  20. Listen to a podcast on a subject that interests you.

  21. Make a wholesome breakfast and focus on eating it without any reading or interruptions.

  22. Think of something you’ve dreaded doing and complete it. Then, cross it off your list.

  23. Unfollow social media accounts that don’t bring you joy.

  24. FaceTime or video chat with one or more family members.

  25. Watch, stream & binge your fave show

  26. Read more. 

  27. Work on a jigsaw puzzle.

  28. If you are worried or upset, contact family and friends, a crisis hotline, or an employee assistance program.

  29. Learn calligraphy. 

  30. Try indoor gardening.
