From teen romance to the afterlife, these shows will guarantee laughter.

1. Dead to Me – If you like a dark comedy, Liz Feldman’s Dead to Me might be something you’re after. It’s not just about the growing relationship between two grieving women who met at group therapy. You’ll immediately find that there’s more to their stories than meets the eye, creating all these plot twists every episode.

2. After Life – After Life is a dark comedy-drama created and starred by award-winning comedian/actor, Ricky Gervais. The premise follows Tony whose life was turned completely after his wife died. After contemplating taking his own life, this once nice guy changed and decides to punish the world by living his life the way he wants to.

3. Russian Doll – Russian Doll is a comedy-drama series about a young woman named Nadia who is caught up in a mysterious time loop. As she tries to figure out what is happening to her, he meets a man who’s also experiencing the same thing in a different event. Created by Amy Poehler, you’ll be certain that this one is going to be a great watch.

4. The Good Place – This American fantasy comedy may have already concluded, but it remains to be one of the best comedy series on Netflix. The initial premise follows Eleonor and how she navigates the afterlife after she was mistakenly placed in “The Good Place”, a heaven-like utopia. If you haven’t seen it yet, then we recommend watching it until the end.

5. Never Have I Ever – Never Have I Ever is a coming of age comedy-drama series created by Mindy Kaling and is partially based on her childhood. It follows the complicated life of a 1st generation South Asian living in America. It’s only in its 1st season but is renewed for a second one.
