The effects of this pandemic are different for everyone. Nonetheless, this whole situation has placed every single one of us on a rollercoaster ride even going as far as a ride that hasn’t fully stopped yet. We know it can be exhausting and downright stressful.

This Holy Week, we know plenty of us will be looking for places to reenergize and gather ourselves as we continue fighting against this pandemic. Whether you find yourselves going on an adventure with Mother Nature or a quiet relaxing reprieve for your wellness, we recommend doing these simple things to help you get that overall reset you so badly need.

Digital Detox - For this holy week, consider having a digital detox. The internet has been a great source of joy during the lockdowns. However, it has also caused us a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. If you haven’t done a digital detox yet, this is something you most likely need. Trust us, even just a day without going through your social media feed is enough to give your mental health the rest it needs.

Take in the Sun - It has started to feel a lot like summer. With warmer weather, it’s easy for us to stay cooped up in our air-conditioned rooms. But consider getting a bit more sun. Having sunlight leads to the creation and activation of vitamin D which studies suggest helps fight certain conditions, from osteoporosis and cancer to depression and heart attacks. But don’t overdo it and don’t forget to wear your sunscreen.

Get Physical - Even with wellness retreats, there’s some kind of physical activity that can help you get more healthy such as Yoga. By doing simple exercises, your overall health can greatly improve especially during this time.

Take It Easy - The purpose of this trip is to get yourselves some time away from the stresses of your everyday life. That being said, don’t pressure yourself if you come across certain challenges.

Be Mindful & Thankful - Take this time to live in the moment. It’s easy for us to lose ourselves in worrying about a lot of things that we forget to just simply live for ourselves and in the moment. Remember to take some time to be grateful for all the things in your life no matter how small they may seem. By doing this, you’ll be remembered of what happiness is truly is for you and what are the most important things in your life right now. It’ll help you refocus and shift your mind into the right path
