Ever since the battle of Winterfell was concluded, we have lost almost 200 characters and thousands of extras from the epic song of ice and fire.
Death toll was at its peak and the fallen ones became a mere peck of history. Their names are now unheard of but there are some who are just simply unforgettable. Many of these characters are truly remembered because their evolution has intrigued us all throughout the series, but some just escape our memory. Some characters were so godly heroic but there were a few whom we just loved to hate. Some of them surprised us with their passing because Game of Thrones (GOT) had never wavered to kill off a character.
But who do you miss the most?
Is it Tywin Lannister, the only man capable of controlling his unruly grandson and dominated the Lannister household with an iron fist? His “the king is tired…” speech had put down all those who were closest to him and, surprisingly, his demise came at the hands of his own son.

Is it Eddard Stark whose head was cut off by the order of the sneaky little Joffrey who had sworn that he wouldn't do it? Poor King and Warden of the North, he was beheaded despite the advice from Joffrey’s mother, Cersei, and requests from his betrothed, Ned's daughter, Sansa.

Is it Joffrey Baratheon whose evil was unthinkable and who always got his way of inflicting pain and getting a kick out of it? He was a young king, handsome at first but you will definitely hate him for his wickedness.

Is it Khal Drogo whose love for Khaleesi was intense? He did not die of an untreatable infected wound from the battle but instead his beloved ended his suffering and named one of her baby dragons as “Drogon”.

Is it Ygritte who had an affair with fan favourite Jon Snow, and their relationship furthered more than physical? They were trained to be ruthless slayers and many times they had refused to kill each other. Even so, her life ended when Olly, whose father was killed by her, shot her straight to the heart.

Is it Wun wun, our favourite giant, who dropped to his death while nearing the end of Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton’s battle? After destroying the gates of Winterfell, Wun Wun was shot by a multitude of arrows. Fortunately, his demise was not in vain.

Is it Dany also known as Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons? She anticipated a passionate kiss from her cousin and lover, Jon Snow, but she was doomed to death with a stab in her heart instead.

It is really odd to miss GOT characters like they have traversed real life, but their story is meaningful to us in so many ways. Keeping up with their survival is what we needed when we wanted an escape from our harsh realities but now that their prose is concluded forever, there’s only one thing that we can do apart from re-watching and rereading the epic story again and that is to miss them deeply.
